Midway Presbyterian Church offers several different studies during our Sunday School hour from 9:45 am - 10:45 am.
Explorers Class
The class format is expositional, verse-by-verse teaching through different books of the Scripture. The class is called the Explorers class because that is what we will do each Sunday – explore the Word! The composition of the Explorers class is couples and singles of various ages.
Fellowship Class
Our fellowship is indicative of our walk, and the Fellowship Class is concerned that the people of God evidence a true fellowship with Christ through their daily walk. The Fellowship Class is one of our larger classes, but through fellowship with one another, they maintain the mentality of a small class. The composition of the Fellowship class is singles and couples 25 and up.
Grace Class
Sinners need grace. It is God’s saving grace that regenerates hearts and enables sinners to receive Jesus Christ. It is because of God’s saving grace that sinners are declared holy and blameless in Jesus Christ. Without God’s saving grace, sinners would never come to repentance and faith, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.
Saved sinners need grace. Being a Christian means more than professing to be one. Being a Christian means being a disciple of Jesus Christ. A true disciple of Jesus Christ will become more like Him. A true disciple of Jesus Christ will pursue holiness. This pursuit of holiness requires total dependence on God’s transforming grace. Without God’s transforming grace, it is impossible to become more like Jesus and live in the power of the gospel. The Grace Class is made up of singles and couples of various ages.

Harvesters Class
In the parable of the sower, Jesus explained how life changing the word of God is. When someone hears the word of God and understands it, they are different. A Harvest is produced! The focus of the Harvester Class is studying the scriptures, alternating between the Old and New Testament. We pray for the Holy Spirit to use the teachers of the class to help explain the depth of God’s word. Our teachers are assigned various portions of the current book we are studying.
Midway generally has a combined summer adult class, which our class participates in. On occasion, we may also work through either a topical book or topical video series built upon a theme firmly rooted in or founded upon the Bible. Although we focus on Bible study, we also pray together each week for needs shared by people in the class. We have breakfast together periodically, during the class time, to fellowship. Please join us in the Harvester class. Any age is welcome from teen to senior, either couples or singles.
