Takis was born and grew up in the Biblical town of Berea, Macedonia in a Greek Orthodox family. After graduating from high school a faithful evangelical Christian friend spoke to him about the love of Christ and His plan for salvation. Takis accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and from that time he had the desire to live for the Lord and work for His kingdom.

Takis entered the Macedonian Bible School, and after graduation received a call to serve in the Greek Evangelical Church in Berea. He ministered in that church for 13 years. Takis served as an evangelist for 18 years, helping at the same time the work of the country churches. He has been a member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship in Greece, and has served as president many times. In 1981 he founded an evangelical organization called Greek Bible Mission.

Ministry Update

Takis travels through the mountains of northern Greece encouraging Christians who are scattered in small numbers through many villages and small towns. He conducts Bible studies every week. His wife, Stavroula, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 5th, 2001. She had been a very wise co-worker with Takis and at the same time been very active leading Bible studies and prayer meetings five times a week.

Praise God for His faithfulness to Takis , and for the thirsty souls He brings to him. He is thankful also for the believers in the United States who pray and support the work in Greece.

Please pray for the continuing power and leading of the Holy Spirit for Takis, that he may continue to proclaim Jesus Christ and His Gospel of grace.

Pray for Those They Serve

Please pray for God to guard the believers they serve from the snares of the devil. Pray for the believers to not keep the Gospel only for themselves, but to desire to witness to others as well.
